Emilee Robinson learns more about how the singer's new album will be the best one yet, because she's learned to love herself
On October 23rd, London born singer and feminist icon Adele released her latest single Hello, almost one month before the scheduled release of her newest album, 25.

The record breaking artist fell off the grid for quite a while after the release of her last album 21 in 2011.

In the middle of a soaring career, the superstar pumped the breaks on her stardom to take care of what mattered most; herself, her family and her new baby boy, Angelo, born in October of 2012.

It’s a big deal when any artist takes a “break” from producing work. There’s always the chance that they won’t come back or that when they do, their fans will have moved on. Adele left the spotlight of a successful career just as her fan base was at the edge of their seats waiting for more.

Months and eventually years passed between any new music from the singer. But just as she was beginning to fade into the “great stars of the past”, Adele made a comeback.

She tweeted out a very personal letter written for her fans just days after sneak previews of her upcoming album were released. Claiming that her 2011 album 21 was a break up record, she has said to take a complete turn with her latest work, the album 25 will be her make up record.

I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever, without a removal van full of my old junk

Most fans assumed this was due to the newfound love and fulfilment in her life as she was thriving as a new wife and mother. But in her letter, she shares the real reason for the dedication behind her new work.

“I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time…Turning 25 was a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my twenties. Teetering on the edge of being an old adolescent and a fully-fledged adult. I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever, without a removal van full of my old junk…25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising. And I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened.”

Adele has been nothing less than a strong, confident, self-made woman, who built an untouchable career based on a demo posted on MySpace. Making the decision to give her fame a backseat to what really matters has paid off tremendously, as Hello has shown major success and 25 is one of the most anticipated albums of 2015.

Adele has taught possibly the greatest lesson, learning to put nothing before your relationship with yourself. She is using her music to teach people to enjoy every stage of life, and to be proud of who you’re becoming as you grow through them. 25 will be released on 20 November 2015.
