Nearly half of young people in the UK often feel lonely, compared to only a quarter of over 65s. Young Londoners are twice as likely to feel lonely as their peers in other parts of the UK.

Funded by John Lyon’s Charity and Co-op Foundation, our loneliness campaign comprised a series of short films, a magazine and dozens of posts (articles, personal stories, short stories and poems) for the Exposure website raising awareness of and offering advice on how to address the issue.

“Evidence from the Office of National Statistics shows that almost 10% of young people aged 16 to 24 were always or often lonely – the highest proportion of any age group in the country.” – Arjan
